For healthcare, legal, and financial services teams operating under hard regulatory constraints, Sembly is one of the few credible options. The trade is that Sembly still uses the bot-plus-cloud-audio model, which has its own risk surface (the audio file existing in any cloud is itself a compliance variable). Brifo's compliance posture is different. By capturing audio locally and never uploading it, the audio never exists in our cloud, which simplifies a lot of compliance conversations. We don't have formal certifications yet (we're a beta-stage product). If your compliance team requires SOC 2 Type 2 audit reports today, Sembly is currently the right choice. If your compliance team is open to evaluating the architectural argument (no cloud audio = much smaller compliance surface), Brifo is worth a serious look.
